How to determine your login/password:

Login:  Your student Number without the 0's at the front of your student number

Password:  Same as your login but with the first three letters of your last name added onto the end

Example, if your name is Jane Doe and your student number is 0012345, then:

Login:  12345

Password:  12345doe

You can change your password after logging in the first time, just be sure you don't loose it!  It is very difficult to reset passwords for Blackboard.

 

                            To access the lectures through WebCT, follow these steps:

  1. Log into the Blackboard homepage
  2. Click on BIOL 1006, Introduction to Molecular and Cell Biology
  3. Click on the Lectures folder on your homepage
  4. You can then select the PDF or PowerPoint folder, the PDF folder has the lectures in PDF format, the PowerPoint folder has the lectures in PowerPoint format
  5. Click on the file for the lecture you wish to download
  6. This will bring up a message asking you to open, save, or cancel
  7. Click Save and save it to your computer
  8. You can then open the file and print it out (if you do not have a .pdf viewing program, one can be downloaded for free on the following webpage:  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html)

NOTE:  If your computer will not let you download the file (you get a message about blocking a pop-up or blocking a file, you need to turn off your pop-up/file blocker and try it again)
