Welcome to my homepage, a place dedicated to providing information for psychology and education students. It is my pleasure to work for the Department of Psychology having studied in this very department 20 years ago. After leaving Nipissing University, I continued my studies at UWO, Carleton University, and finally at University of Ottawa where I obtained an MA in Marital Counselling.
I then moved to Vancouver, BC to provide clinical counselling services in both private practice and later in a suicide prevention program. Having spent 7 years out west, I continued even further west to teach and lecture in South Korea for 7 more years (2 years high school, 5 years undergraduate – Humanities & Social Sciences). Many aspects of Korean culture inspired me to write and publish several articles on culture and a research paper on the Korean educational system. I also wrote a manuscript on Korean-Canadian culture.
I returned to North Bay in 2008 with my wife and daughter. I now work as a Child & Family Therapist at Algonquin Child & Family Services, North Bay. It is so challenging and rewarding to work in the field of children’s mental health in Ontario. And lastly, I will lecture two courses for my department bringing my experiences in both education and psychology to the classroom.
Active classroom discussion and debate is critical for the success of both courses below. I also value and respect private discussion during private office hours. I will make myself available to you. Please make an appointment after/before class or through an email.
Please click the link below (textbook cover) for detailed information regarding your specific course. You will find information such as the syllabus, class outline, class PPT slides, weblinks, and chapter quizzes.
