Additional short excerpts will be provided also in electronic format under the individual reading assignments if necessary.

 

Breakdown of grades

Evaluation

Assignment # 1                         15%     Due January 31, 2011

4 Quizzes (3 will count)             15%     Jan. 24; Feb. 9; Mar. 1; Mar. 15

Research Essay                         25%     Due April 5, 2012 (an annotated bibliography 

                                                           due March 20, 2012)

Final Exam                               35%     During exam period

Participation/Attendance            10%
