Fred Moore

I am preparing a biography of Fred Moore.  Thanks to Fred's nephews John and Tom Moore, nieces June Wright and Sharon Muranko, greatniece Starr Maranko and others for their continuing support and assistance.

It is still a work in progress.

Non-Aboriginal viewers should note that, for Crees, the occasional use of humour is not unusual when talking about something serious and respectful or very dangerous. Laughing when John slips and falls on an icy road, I learned, is appropriate. (People still care, if you are hurt, but normally you are not - -  and it probably WAS funny, to you, in retrospect, although that might not have been your first reaction.) Feel free to smile or laugh, at times, and yet still feel the gravity of other situations that Fred describes, and gain genuine respect for him.
