I'd like to welcome first year students to Nipissing University!! One of the greatest features of the university is the ability to connect on an individual basis with the faculty. I do hope you will take advantage of that.

Your first year of studies can often be quite difficult so getting off to a good start is important. The accounting faculty want to make sure that you are comfortable in your selection of your first year accounting courses. If you have never taken accounting before, then you must take ADMN 1106 in term 1. This will prepare you for the core accounting course. If you have taken accounting before, you may register for ADMN 1107 in term 1 or 2. We recommend trying to incorporate it into your term 1 schedule to enable you to move back to ADMN 1106 in the first two weeks of classes, if you believe you are having difficulty.

In order to assist you in making this decision, you will find a short 30 question quiz below. Take the quiz over the summer and see how well you do. If you struggled or found it very difficult (or didn't understand any of the terminology!!) then ADMN 1106 is the right course for you. If you found the quiz easy, then I would recommend ADMN 1107.
