Welcome to EDUC 4839 – Senior Visual Arts!
The purpose of this course is to put an ‘education spin’ on your foundational knowledge of visual arts for teaching learners in grades 11 and 12. You will learn how to scaffold learning for various media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, as well as for lessons in design, art history and criticism. Long-term planning and art program management will also be addressed. This course is practical with emphasis on studio workshops and will be augmented with theory in the form of additional art education resources that can be found on this web site.
