Professor Lundy completed his doctoral degree in Sociology in Education at OISE. His thesis investigates the
sociological implications of long-range curriculum planning in terms of
the knowledge, work and professional concerns of administrators and
teachers alike.
He
has recently given numerous school and university level workshops in the
use of Statistics Canada computer and textual materials for secondary
schools and faculties of education, and has published on the uses of these
materials in social foundations courses. Aside from his interest in the
curricular uses of Statistics Canada computer programs aimed at secondary
school and undergraduate audiences, he is also actively researching in the
area of equity of access to teacher education by Aboriginals, visible
minorities and people with disabilities. As of June 2001, he is
president of the Canadian Association of Foundations of Education.
