Ron currently teaches Curriculum Methods & Educational Psychology/Special Education in the Concurrent Education program. He received his B.Ed. from Nipissing College when it was a part of Laurentian University. He has been teaching and consulting in Manitoba and Saskatchewan for the past thirty years. During this time, he obtained his M.Ed. (Educational Psychology/Special Education) from the University of Manitoba and his Ph.D. (Special Education) from the University of Arizona.
His area of research/study is First Nations/Minority Special Education issues. His doctorate was a study of special education services in First Nations schools in Manitoba. For the past twenty-two years, Ron has organized the Effective Strategies conference on First Nations/Aboriginal education in Winnipeg.
Ron is currently working on "Elders' View of Exceptionality", "The Federal Government's Role in Education" and "A History of First Nations Special Education".
