DISCUSSION FORUM

For those of you really interested in psychology, and related disciplines such as philosophy and the other sciences, there is now a list server on which you can discuss ideas raised in class and share internet links to interesting content!  I'll occasionally post links to other cool stuff you may wish to investigate.  Other faculty will also contribute material. And you can contribute too!

For those unfamiliar with list servers, they are simply email groups where everyone who is a member can write an email to the list server that will then be forwarded to everyone else in the group, and where replies are also automatically sent to everyone in the group.

This list server is open to anyone interested in joining.  Any student interested (no matter what their major) need only request to join by sending an email to kens@nipissingu.ca.  An invitation then will be sent back, and simply replying to the invitation will suffice to join the group.  One can, of course, drop out of the email list at any time by simply requesting to do so.

PSYC SOCIETY

The Nipissing University Psychology Society, a student group for Psychology majors, or anyone interested in psychology, now has their website up and running. This is a student run academic group to serve students by organizing academic and social activities, as well as by raising awareness for issues in psychology. Such issues include, mental health awareness and scientific research. As well we provide students with various forms of academic support ranging from info nights to mentorship programs.  Link is here.
