HUMAK - HUMANITIES POLYTECHNIC
Kauniainen, Finland
Humanities Polytechnic (HUMAK) was founded in 1998 and received permanent
Polytechnic status in 2000. HUMAK has twelve units around Finland with a total
of about 1300 students. The students can study in three different Degree Programmes:
Civic Activities and Youth Work, Cultural Production and Management, and Sign
Language Interpreter. During the project, HUMAK coordinated the network with
the European partners.

HOGESCHOOL
Rotterdam, Neterlands
Hogeschool Rotterdam is located in the center of hte internaltionally oriented
port of Rotterdam. The three main university sites are all close to the Caland
metro line, which crosses Rotterdam from east to west. Higher education could
not be more easily accessible. The university offeres a wide chose of well-equipped
and modern higher vocational courses. Over seventy programmes share a common
educational vision, focusing on interaction between the programmes and interdisciplinary
education programmes. The university wants to be firmly rooted in society
and education students who combine knowledge and professional skills with
social responsibility. Education at the university is therefore closely intertwined
with specific issues facing the international and multicultural business and
port city of Rotterdam.

centres in North America. Students on this exchange will be able to select
their course of study through one or more of the six Fine Arts Departments:
Dance, Design, Film and Video, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts, or through
the interdisciplinary program in Fine Arts Cultural Studies.
