After discussion and approval of faculty advisor, students identify their research topic. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">During the course, students engage in <\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse;width: 100%\" border=\"1\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">novel, psychological research investigations,<\/span><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">demonstrate competence in research design,<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">develop scientific oral presentation skills, &amp;<\/span><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 50%\">write a final in a style suitable for a journal.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><u>Procedures and Prerequisites<\/u>:<br \/>\nStudents must submit an Individualized Course Supervision Contract to the Chair of the Department by February 15 prior to the academic year when the course will be taken. Once this has been approved, they need to register through WebAdvisor for the course. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">This course is restricted to students in their fourth-year of the Honours Psychology program.
