His research focuses on linking ancient political thought to contemporary ethics and politics. He is the author of\u00a0<i>The Great\u00a0Reversal: How We Let Technology Take Control of the Planet<\/i>\u00a0(University of Toronto Press, 2013) and a founding editor of\u00a0<i>The Ancient Lessons for Global Politics<\/i>\u00a0book series. He is working on the latest installment,<i>\u00a0Defending Democracy: Ancient Lessons for Global Politics<\/i>.
